TEHILLIM: Child Seriously Injured After Falling From School Bus on Main Street In Monsey

A child, approximately 10 years old, was seriously injured after reportedly falling from a school bus on Main Street in Monsey on Wednesday at approximately 5:00 p.m.

The child was reported to be semi-conscious at the scene and was rushed by Rockland Hatzoloh paramedics to Westchester Medical Center for treatment. Ramapo Police and Chaverim of Rockland also responded and assisted at the scene.

    They need to start manufacturing “leaning” school buses similar to what exists in NYC local mass transit buses, where the driver pushes a buttom and the front of the bus where the entry/exit steps are go lower to the ground to where there’s only about 3-4 inches separating between the ground and the lowest step. There’s no details in this story about why the yingle fell, but it might have been because the first step is too high off the ground.

  2. Monsey has an inordinate amount of child injuries. Hashem is definitely trying to tell us something. Where in Tanach do we read of children dying? What comes to mind is when Chiel rebuilt Yericho. Perhaps Hashem is trying to tell the community that the way Monsey has been rebuilt against the wishes of existing residents is as bad as rebuilding Yericho.
