The Monsey Fire Department responded to a report of an odor of smoke inside a residence on Ashel Lane. Firefighters determined the source was a wall-mounted A/C unit that began burning due to an overload caused by a buildup of dust and dirt in the vents. The situation was quickly brought under control.
