On Thursday evening, Misaskim of Rockland held a special ribbon-cutting ceremony to dedicate its brand-new, state-of-the-art service van, marking a major enhancement to the organization’s ability to support families during times of crisis and loss.
The beautifully arranged event, produced by Gershy Moskowitz Productions, was hosted at the home of Yitzy Cherns and was attended by numerous elected officials, law-enforcement representatives, and community leaders, all showing their strong support for the indispensable work Misaskim performs throughout the region.
The new van, donated through the generosity of Reb Naftali Gershon Alpert, the Jaffa family, and the Orzel family, represents a significant upgrade in Misaskim’s operational capacity within the Rockland Division.
Misaskim, founded by the legendary Baal Chesed Rabbi Yanky (Jack) Meyer Zt”l, continues to embody his legacy of compassion and service. In Rockland, longtime coordinator Yossi Margaretten has led the division with unwavering dedication, ensuring that families facing tragedy receive timely and dignified assistance, from shiva supplies to critical logistical support.
The newly dedicated van will further empower both Misaskim and Yedid to deliver support, strength, and solace throughout Rockland County, ensuring that no family faces hardship alone.
