Miracle on Erev Shabbos: Rockland Hatzoloh Responder Narrowly Escapes Falling Tree in Monsey

A Hatzoloh of Rockland volunteer narrowly avoided a potentially tragic accident on Friday afternoon when a large tree came crashing down just seconds after he exited his vehicle.

The incident occurred at the Northern Metropolitan Nursing Home on Maple Avenue, where Hatzoloh received a call for an elderly patient experiencing medical distress. As the first responding unit arrived, the volunteer took his equipment and made his way inside. Moments later, a massive tree fell directly onto his vehicle and another car in the parking lot, causing extensive damage.

Chaverim of Rockland volunteers quickly arrived on the scene to assist in clearing the debris. Miraculously, no injuries were reported.

The dramatic close call has left the community grateful for the responder’s safety, with many calling it nothing short of a miracle just moments before the onset of Shabbos.
