Metro-North Expands Winter Weekend Discount to Rockland County Riders

In exciting news for Rockland County residents, Metro-North has announced that monthly rail passes for Pascack Valley and Port Jervis Lines will now be honored on East-of-Hudson trains as part of its Winter Weekend Discount Program. This enhancement, secured through the advocacy of County Executive Ed Day, brings expanded and more affordable travel options for Rockland County riders.

As part of the program, monthly ticket holders can bring up to two additional travelers for just $1 per person, each way, on Saturdays and Sundays. In addition, Metro-North will accept all monthly tickets for travel to and from any station within its network, regardless of the specific stations printed on the ticket. The $1 promotional tickets are available for purchase through the TrainTime app under Family Fares or onboard trains without any additional fees.

This initiative is an excellent opportunity for Rockland County riders to enjoy affordable weekend travel for activities such as attending Broadway shows, visiting friends, shopping, or simply taking in the winter scenery. Metro-North encourages residents to embrace this convenient and budget-friendly way to make the most of their winter weekends.
