Major Traffic Delays Cleared as New York State Thruway Reopens After Tractor-Trailer Collision Near Monsey Exit

The New York Sate Thruway near Monsey has reopened following a tractor-trailer collision that occurred around 2:00 AM this morning.

The accident, involving a car, blocked all lanes near exit 14A, causing southbound traffic to back up for over three miles.

Southbound drivers used the right shoulder, while northbound traffic detoured at exit 14. Fortunately, only minor injuries were reported at the scene.

The roadway was reopened as of 8:00AM fully operational, but drivers are reminded to exercise caution in high-traffic areas.
