Dear Editor,
New Yorkers deserve fair elections, not partisan politicians deciding who we should vote for.
In no way do I, or anyone in this community, support any redistricting process designed to remove our current Congressman from office. Congressman Mike Lawler has been one of the strongest friends our community has ever had in Washington. Time and again, he has proven himself to be accessible, responsive, and willing to stand up for the issues that matter most to us. Whether helping constituents navigate federal agencies, advocating for our community’s needs, securing support when it matters most, or simply being there when called upon, he has consistently delivered results.
More importantly, he has earned the trust and respect of our community through his actions, not just his words. He understands our concerns, values our way of life, and has demonstrated a genuine commitment to representing all of his constituents. Few elected officials have built the kind of relationship with our community that Congressman Lawler has, and we should never support an effort to redraw district lines simply because political leaders dislike the outcome of an election.
At the same time, our community must take an honest look at our representation in Albany.
Our current State Senator has delivered little of substance for our community. While he has become skilled at issuing statements and taking credit for the accomplishments of others, our neighborhoods continue to face pressing infrastructure needs and quality-of-life challenges that require strong advocacy at the state level.
Our community needs a State Senator who can secure critical funding for sidewalks, roads, transportation improvements, and other infrastructure projects. We need a State Senator with a real seat at the table when major decisions affecting Rockland County are being made in Albany. We need someone whose calls are returned by the Governor when our community needs help, whose voice carries weight when important issues are being discussed, and who can effectively fight for the resources our residents deserve.
The reality is that New York’s government is currently controlled by one party. Whether we like it or not, major funding decisions, infrastructure investments, and legislative priorities are determined by those in positions of power. Our community deserves representation that can effectively navigate that reality, build relationships with decision-makers, and successfully advocate for the resources and support our residents need.
Unfortunately, there are organizations and activists who continue to support the current State Senator despite privately acknowledging that he lacks the influence necessary to effectively advocate for our community’s needs. Political loyalty should never come before results.
The conversation surrounding redistricting should serve as a reminder that effective representation matters. Congressman Lawler has earned the support of our community by delivering tangible results and building trust. We deserve the same level of leadership, effectiveness, and influence from those who represent us in Albany.
Voters should choose their representatives. Politicians should not choose their voters.

Re elect Mike Lawler for congress and Bill weber for senate
Don’t let anyone fool you into thinking this is only about Bill Weber. The same people attacking Bill Weber are the same people who have been trying to tell our community who we should support and how we should vote. This isn’t about principles—it’s about control and politics.
And don’t let them try to divide Monsey from Mike Lawler. It’s the same group, the same agenda, and the same political games. Monsey deserves to make its own decisions without pressure from self-appointed power brokers.
For the last 20 years, too many Monsey residents felt ignored while others tried to decide for us who we should support and how we should vote.
Now, some of those same political players are trying to convince people that they are on Congressman Mike Lawler’s side while attacking Bill Weber. Don’t fall for it.
Bill Weber has been one of the most accessible and responsive elected officials our community has had. Countless residents know that when they need help, they can call Bill Weber and he will be there. He has worked for Monsey residents regardless of politics and has earned the trust and support of many people in our community.
The effort to push him out is not about what’s best for Monsey. It’s about power, influence, and control. The same people who ignored Monsey for years now want Monsey’s support when it serves their agenda.
Monsey can think for itself. We don’t need others deciding for us who we should support. Don’t fall for the political games. Look at the record, look at who has actually been there for our community, and make your own decision.

Don’t fall for the trap.
Some people are trying to present themselves as supporters of Mike Lawler while attacking Bill Weber. Many Monsey residents see right through it.
If they truly stood with Mike Lawler, they wouldn’t be playing political games and trying to mislead voters. Instead, they are trying to create a narrative they think Monsey residents will accept because they know how much support Mike Lawler has in our community.
Monsey residents should ask themselves a simple question: Why are these political operatives suddenly wrapping themselves in Mike Lawler’s name while pushing their own agenda?
Don’t be distracted by the messaging. Look at the actions. Look at the record. Look at who has actually stood with our community.
Monsey doesn’t need political spin. Monsey doesn’t need political bosses. Monsey needs honesty, and Monsey is smart enough to see through the game.
I don’t understand how a Jewish person can vote for any candidate from a political party that allows a candidate with a Nazi tattoo to run for political office.
There are hundreds of Monsey residents that fully support lawler. And they want to have proper representation in Albany. Don’t fall for the republican trap that if you vote for Weber he can deliver. We have miles and miles of Monsey and surrounding areas that need sidewalks etc. Weber is good for coming to your vach nacht and wedding
But he cannot deliver. He shows up to every single event as if he means something. We need representation in Albany. Not pictures by chill with bill.
Rather stay without sidewalks but never vote for a Democrat 😭

This is ridiculous. Anyone who has half a brain cell would know.that voting for a Democrat is a death sentence for a Jewish community. What has Aron Weider done for the community in the last two years? Has his position “in the majority party” helped anyone or their neighbors? Or have the people who put him in power benefited, while the regular people on the street continue to feel unrepresented. I personally know people who have been helped by Weber, despite his representation of the minority party.
Does Monsey want a Do-nothing Democrat, controlled by the same people who have been running Monsey politics for years? Or does Monsey want representatives who actually care about the people they serve?
Mr. HK, I agree 100% that our community needs sidewalks and better infrastructure.
My question is simple: if the Democrats control all three houses in Albany, and we have our beloved Democratic Assemblyman representing us, why hasn’t he delivered the funding for these sidewalks and other infrastructure projects our community desperately needs?
For the last several years, Democrats have been in control, yet Monsey residents still struggle with the same infrastructure problems. We keep hearing promises, but where are the results? Where are the sidewalks? Where are the improvements?
It’s easy to talk about what should be done. The real question is: why hasn’t it been done when the people with the power to deliver have already been in power?
Our community deserves answers, accountability, and results—not just campaign talking points.
I (and so many other freinds & family) have personally been helped a few times by Rep Mike lawler, and whoever has had any issues with government documents etc, his office is the most effective government office I’ve ever seen, whoever is behind the push against him is definitely some special interest person, because mike is really making a difference in our daily lives, not some hypothetical political promises.
He’s the single most effective politician in our recent history, if you dont believe it, reach out to them and be amazed yourself, no difference if 12 midnight or 6am, they are unbelievable.
So back to the point, im not sure who’s behind this nonsense, but it definitely stinks
Vote for Democrats so they have total and super duper control of Albany. Huhhh What can go wrong with that? for Yidden? Democrats only support the most Jew and frum Jew hating people and politicians around the country, What can go wrong if we vote more Democrats into office?
