MAILBAG: A Grateful Thank You to the Town of Ramapo Highway Department

As a Town of Ramapo resident, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the Town of Ramapo Highway Department for their outstanding work during the snowstorm Friday night into Shabbos morning.

Despite the storm, the roads were remarkably clean and safe. Many of us were able to walk to shul Shabbos morning without concern, something that does not happen without tremendous behind-the-scenes effort. Side streets and main roads alike were in excellent condition, making a real difference for families and seniors throughout the community.

This is a direct credit to the leadership of Highway Superintendent Fred Brinn and the hardworking highway crews who worked tirelessly through the night to ensure residents could start Shabbos safely. Appreciation is also due to Town Supervisor Michael Specht for his continued support and oversight, ensuring the department had the resources needed to respond effectively.

When the roads are spotless by morning, it speaks volumes about the dedication and professionalism of our highway workers. Thank you to the entire Town of Ramapo Highway Department for your commitment and for keeping our community safe.

— A Grateful Town of Ramapo Resident

  1. They did an amazing job they used to plow only the main roads during the storm and come to the local streets only when it stopped snowing and by this storm they went on the local streets during the storm, and also they cleaned the sidewalks a whole night
