This morning, State Senator Bill Weber awarded the prestigious New York State Empire Awards to two local businesses in recognition of their outstanding community service.
Nussy’s Cuisine, a popular eatery on Main Street in Monsey, and Tuvias Seforim Judaica & Gifts, a well-known cultural shop on Route 59 in Airmont, were the proud recipients. These awards celebrate the significant community contributions and represent the highest honor a state senator can extend to local businesses.
“I am proud to present Empire Awards to these local businesses who are both community-minded and active in charitable giving,” Senator Weber stated. “The Empire Award is the highest honor a Senator can bestow on a local business, and these establishments have truly earned this accolade through their dedication and service. Both Nussy’s and Tuvia’s, named for their great owners, are staples in the Rockland community, and I’m so grateful for all of their contributions.”
Both Nussy’s Cuisine and Tuvias Seforim have expressed their appreciation for the recognition and vow to continue their community-focused efforts.
Legislator Joel Friedman joined the senator on visits to the two sites.
The Empire Awards highlight the vital contributions of small businesses to the New York State community and economy.
