A lightning strike sparked a structure fire at a residence on Woodthrush Drive. The powerful strike also split a large tree, sending debris flying approximately 75 feet across the property. Firefighters from the West Nyack, Pearl River, and New City Fire Departments responded and quickly brought the fire under control. Clarkstown Police, Nanuet EMS, and Rockland Paramedics also responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.
