A structure fire sparked by a lightning strike at a home on Holland Lane brought a response from the Monsey, Hillcrest, and Thiells Fire Departments. Firefighters arrived quickly and brought the blaze under control, limiting damage to the home. Hatzoloh EMS, Spring Hill EMS, Ramapo Police, and Orange & Rockland also responded. During the incident, the Orangeburg Fire Department stood by in Monsey Fire Department’s district to cover any additional emergency calls if needed. No injuries were reported.
