Juvenile Taken into Custody Following Police Pursuit in Nanuet

A juvenile was arrested on Wednesday afternoon following a police pursuit that began on Route 59 and concluded near Lawrence Avenue and 2nd Avenue.

The incident started when the juvenile driver failed to comply with a traffic stop initiated by a Rockland County Sheriff’s Officer. The suspect fled the scene, crashing their vehicle before attempting to escape on foot.

Law enforcement, including the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, Clarkstown Police, and Spring Valley Police, launched a coordinated search in the area. The juvenile was eventually located and taken into custody at a nearby construction site.

No injuries were reported during the incident, and authorities are continuing their investigation.
