Suspect Arrested and Tased in Spring Valley After Drugs Found in Car; Resisting Ramapo Police

A suspect was arrested in Spring Valley on Twin Avenue after being found with drugs in his car.

The Ramapo Police Department confronted the individual for suspicious activity and, when questioned, the suspect attempted to fight off the officers. To subdue the suspect, the police used a taser and successfully took him into custody.

The suspect was then taken to the hospital for evaluation. A subsequent search of the suspect’s vehicle uncovered a significant quantity of illegal drugs.

Ramapo Police were assisted by the Rockland County Sheriffs, Spring Valley Police and New York State Police.
