Assemblymember Ken Zebrowski, representing New York’s (Rockland’s) 96th Assembly District, has resigned from the Assembly six months before the end of his term to join a lobbying firm. Zebrowski, a Democrat from Rockland, had previously announced he would not seek reelection.
In an official statement this morning, Zebrowski said, “I will be moving into the private sector today and want to thank everyone for their support and collaboration during my tenure in the New York State Assembly.”
Following his resignation, Zebrowski’s Assembly webpage was deactivated. The lobbying firm Brown & Weinraub confirmed that Zebrowski will be joining their team.
Back in January, Monsey Scoop reported that Clarkstown Councilman Patrick J. Carroll announced his candidacy for the New York State Assembly, following Zebrowski’s decision not to seek reelection.
