JUST IN: Armed Robbery in Pomona: One Suspect Arrested

An early morning armed robbery on Old Route 202 in Pomona has the Town of Haverstraw Police Department working diligently to uncover the details. The incident occurred at approximately 12:42 am today.

The victim, an online merchandise seller, had scheduled a meeting with a purported buyer at a specified location. Upon arrival, the seller was confronted and robbed at gunpoint. The three assailants made off with the merchandise.

Swift action by the Haverstraw police led to the arrest of one of the suspects involved in the case. The apprehended individual has been arraigned and is currently being held at the Rockland County Correctional Facility.

Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution when arranging in-person transactions from online sales. The investigation is ongoing, and the search for the remaining suspects continues.
