On Monday night, members of the Pearl River Hook & Ladder Company joined forces with the Monsey Fire Department for a specialized training session focused on FAST (Firefighter Assist & Search Team) operations.
The joint drill gave firefighters from both departments the opportunity to strengthen their ability to work seamlessly together in high-stakes situations. Crews practiced critical skills including locating and rescuing a downed firefighter, packaging them for removal, and extricating them safely from a structure.
The training was conducted inside Monsey FD’s dedicated training facility, designed to simulate real-life emergency scenarios. Both departments emphasized the importance of these exercises in ensuring readiness for any situation where rapid response and teamwork are essential.
Officials from Pearl River Hook & Ladder extended their gratitude to the Monsey Fire Department for hosting the session and expressed hope for continued collaboration in the future.
