The Jewish Federation and Foundation of Rockland County was pleased to deliver substantial grants to five early childhood programs throughout Monsey and Spring Valley areas of the community to fund increased security for program participants aged 0-5. These grants were made possible through the generosity of the Tepper Foundation and the facilitation of the Jewish Federations of North America.
“The steps we take to secure Jewish lives – and Jewish children specifically – are more clearly and evidently needed than ever before.” said Federation’s Director of Security Ethan Erlich. “The security environment has changed substantially since October 7th, and we, along with our partners at the Regional New York Community Security Initiative, will continue to bring the needed resources to our community.
“As part of our commitment to securing the Yeshivos, shuls, camps and institutions that make up the infrastructure of Rockland’s Jewish community, Federation has brought almost $300,000 in additional security funding to the community in the last 9 months. This is in addition to the work we continue to expand with over 150 such institutions in our Rockland network.
The following programs were recipients of grants this past week.
- Zichron Shmuel Hebrew Academy for Special Children (HASC)
- Talmud Torah D’Chasidei Bobov of Monsey (Divrei Chaim)
- Talmud Torah Imrei Binah
- Cheder Chabad of Monsey
