A Williamsburg couple visiting Monsey for Yom Tov accidentally left a package containing valuable jewelry and sentimental items in a Lyft car after traveling back to Williamsburg. Without a smartphone and having booked the ride through a third-party service, they were unable to identify the driver or access trip details.
In a panic, they reached out to Chaverim of Rockland for assistance. Volunteers quickly sprang into action, collaborating with the Village of Kaser Public Safety to review surveillance footage in an attempt to identify the vehicle. After hours of investigation, they successfully pinpointed the car.
Chaverim of Rockland then coordinated with Shomrim of Williamsburg and Queens, who helped locate the driver and recover the missing package. Thanks to the swift teamwork between the organizations, the lost items were returned to their rightful owners.
