On Thursday, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for the Infinity Fertility Center on Route 59 in Suffern. This center represents a significant advancement for the Monsey community, providing much-needed support for individuals struggling with fertility issues. The Infinity Fertility Center addresses a critical gap by offering local follow-up appointments, ultrasounds, and monitoring, which previously required trips to the city. Additionally, the center offers IVF medication at a significantly reduced cost of $250-$300 per cycle, compared to the usual $4,000.
Reb Mendel Hoffman, CEO of the Monsey Health Center, spearheaded the establishment of this facility. With proper licensing and the ability to bill Medicaid, the center has managed to make fertility treatments more accessible and affordable. The initiative was further bolstered by collaboration with prestigious clinics, including a partnership with Dr. Zev Williams, MD, PhD, from Columbia University Fertility, ensuring top-tier care and monitoring for patients.
Congressman Mike Lawler, who was scheduled to speak at the event, addressed the attendees via live hookup due to travel delays. He congratulated Rabbi Mendel Hoffman, Dr. Zev Williams, MD, PhD, Dr. Eric Forman, MD, HCLD, from Columbia University, and everyone involved in the Monsey medical community for their efforts in bringing world-class healthcare to Rockland County. He emphasized the importance of IVF and expressed his eagerness to visit the facility in person.
Dr. Zev Williams expressed his amazement at the community’s support and the presence of leading rabbonim. Senator Bill Weber and Rockland County Legislator Aron Wieder were among the distinguished speakers at the event, highlighting the local and political backing for the center.
The event saw the attendance of numerous local rabbonim and elected officials, underscoring the community’s unified support for the new fertility center. In recent weeks, prominent rabbonim affixed mezuzahs to the facility.
