IDF Commander Rabbi Itai Tick Honored in Monsey for His Exceptional Leadership and Dedication

In a significant event that brought together local officials, community leaders, and prominent figures from Israel, Rabbi Itai Tick, a highly respected rabbinical officer and commander in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), was honored for his service. The event, which took place on Wednesday, featured notable guests, including Senator Bill Weber who presented a certificate of merit to Rabbi Tick, and his opponent Former State Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick.

Rabbi Tick, who has held various leadership positions within elite IDF units, including “Sayeret Golani” and “Tzanchanim,” addressed the gathering with his inspiring journey from the front lines of Israel’s defense to his current role as a Rabbinical Reserve Officer in the IDF’s Commando Division. His extensive military career, spanning all major Israeli conflicts since 2005, reflects his dedication to both spiritual and national defense.

In addition to his military achievements, Rabbi Tick has been instrumental in shaping Israel’s youth through the establishment of pre-military programs and leadership training initiatives for IDF officers. He currently runs the international relations organization “Hiburim” and leads a 24/7 SOS platform aimed at supporting farmers in need, further demonstrating his commitment to social causes both within and beyond the military sphere.

During the event, Rabbi Tick was commended for his unwavering service to Israel and the broader Jewish community. The gathering was marked by a blend of reverence and camaraderie, as both community members and government officials, including those from Israel, gathered to honor Rabbi Tick’s accomplishments.
