HILLCREST: Two Arrested By Ramapo Police in Connection to East Eckerson Road Shooting Incident

As previously reported by Monsey Scoop, the Town of Ramapo Police Department has provided an update on the investigation into gunfire reported on East Eckerson Road in the early hours of November 25, 2024.

According to the official release, officers responded to the scene at approximately 12:22 a.m. following reports of multiple gunshots. Evidence collected at the scene confirmed that at least nine shots were fired from a passing vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Following an intensive investigation, police arrested two suspects later that same day. Both individuals, aged 22 from Yonkers and 19 from Newburgh, face serious charges, including Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the First Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, and Conspiracy in the Second Degree. The suspects were arraigned in the Town of Ramapo Court.

The Ramapo Police Department has been working closely with the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigation on this case. The investigation remains active, and no further details are expected at this time.
