Hillcrest Man Arrested for Multiple Charges Following Domestic Incident

Ramapo Police Department reported the arrest of a 23-year-old Hillcrest resident in connection with a series of criminal activities stemming from a domestic altercation that occurred on October 4, 2023.

The accused faces a litany of charges, including:

  • Robbery (3rd Degree)
  • Criminal Mischief (3rd Degree)
  • Grand Larceny (4th Degree)
  • Criminal Contempt (1st Degree)
  • Assault (3rd Degree)
  • Menacing (2nd Degree)
  • Criminal Obstruction of Breathing
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon (4th Degree)

After his arrest, the individual was presented before the Town of Ramapo Justice Court. Following the arraignment, the judge set his bail at $20,000. He has since been remanded to Rockland County Jail.

It has come to light that an order of protection was already in effect against the accused, which he reportedly violated. The latest incident raises significant concerns about the enforcement of such protection orders and the safety of the affected individuals.
