It is with deep regret that the Hillcrest Fire Company announced the passing of former Chief Robert Murdock Sr. and former Chief, Trustee, and Life Member John Meyer. Ex-Chief Murdock Sr. passed away on December 26 following a prolonged illness. A life member of the department, he had been residing in Florida at the time of his passing and was the father of the late Ex-Chief Robert Murdock Jr.
Ex-Chief John Meyer, a 69-year life member and longtime trustee, passed away Tuesday evening. At the time of his passing, Meyer was the oldest living former chief of the department. The Hillcrest Fire Company extended its heartfelt condolences to the Murdock and Meyer families, honoring both men for their decades of dedication, leadership, and service to the community.
