High-Speed Pursuit Spanning Three Police Department Jurisdictions Ends in Mahwah, NJ

Last night, a vehicle that failed to comply with a police stop in the jurisdiction of the Town of Ramapo Police Department led officers on a high-speed chase that ended in Mahwah, New Jersey. The vehicle, while traveling through the Village of Suffern, struck several cars, damaged private property, and collided with a marked Suffern Police car, which was occupied by a Suffern police officer at the time.

The pursuit concluded when the driver was apprehended in Mahwah by a coordinated effort from the Mahwah Police Department, Town of Ramapo Police Department, and Suffern Police Department. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries in Suffern during the incident.

Authorities have announced that charges are pending in all three jurisdictions involved.
