The Rockland County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division has announced the addition of Helena Blauvelt as its newest Radio Operator following the successful completion of the agency’s rigorous training program.
Blauvelt completed more than 1,000 hours of classroom instruction and supervised, on-the-job training as part of the Division’s nationally accredited program. During her training, she also passed four national certification exams, qualifying her to handle emergency communications and dispatch operations throughout Rockland County.
A graduate of North Rockland High School, Blauvelt is also an active volunteer with Cosgriff Hose Company #4 of the Haverstraw Fire Department, bringing valuable firsthand emergency response experience to her new role.
Officials congratulated Blauvelt on her achievement, welcoming her to the team and praising her dedication to public safety.
