Haverstraw Town Supervisor Howard T. Phillips proudly introduced a new addition to the Haverstraw Town Police Department. Officer Eric DiPaolo and his canine partner, Duke, are stepping into their roles as the latest K-9 unit in the force.
“It’s my pleasure to introduce our newest Haverstraw Town Police Department K-9 officer, Eric DiPaolo, and his dog, Duke,” stated Supervisor Phillips. He went on to praise Officer DiPaolo for his years of dedicated service to the department and his exceptional performance.
Officer DiPaolo, who has been a part of the Haverstraw Police for several years, was recently appointed as a K-9 officer. He and Duke have embarked on a 16-week intensive K-9 training course, marking the beginning of Duke’s training. This program is designed to prepare Duke for his duties as part of the department’s efforts to protect the community.
The duo is joining an esteemed group of K-9 teams within the department, including Officer Michael Vigiletti and his K-9 partner, Karma, who have been instrumental in maintaining safety and security in Haverstraw.
The town of Haverstraw is excited to see Officer DiPaolo and Duke start their journey together as a K-9 unit. Supervisor Phillips and the community are extending their congratulations and support to the new team, confident in their ability to make a significant contribution to the town’s safety.
