Haverstraw Road Intersection Set for Major Upgrade with $1.2 Million Funding Boost

Rockland County has announced a $1,232,000 funding approval for improvements at the Suffern Lane and Hammond Rd intersection in Haverstraw. The project, aimed at enhancing safety and reducing traffic congestion, will be overseen by Creighton Manning Engineering.

Deputy Superintendent of Highways Al Carnevale presented the project details to notable attendees including Rockland County Executive Ed Day and Rockland Legislature Chair Jay Hood Jr. This initiative is part of the county’s efforts to improve road infrastructure and ensure the well-being of its residents.

The investment into the intersection signifies a major step towards improving traffic flow and pedestrian safety in the area. Construction timelines and further details will be shared with the community as the project progresses.
