In an effort to combat the rising threat of scams targeting seniors, members of the Haverstraw Police Department held an informative session yesterday. Lieutenant Manny Figueroa, Detective Edward Lopez, and Police Officer Jacqueline Becker addressed a group of seniors to raise awareness about common scams sweeping the nation.
The officers provided practical advice on identifying potential scams and shared strategies to avoid falling victim. They also emphasized the importance of taking swift action, outlining steps seniors can take if they suspect they are being targeted.
