Haverstraw Police Chief And Stony Point Police Chief Named New Leaders Of Rockland County Police Chiefs Association

The Rockland County Police Chiefs Association has announced its new leadership, with Haverstraw Police Chief John Gould Jr. sworn in as President and Stony Point Chief Greg Becker sworn in as Vice President.

The Rockland County Police Chiefs Association is comprised of police chiefs from all municipal police departments across Rockland County, along with leadership from the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office. The association works collaboratively to promote professionalism, inter-agency cooperation, and countywide public safety.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Rockland County Police Academy, where both chiefs were formally sworn in by Justice William Franks.

Also recognized during the ceremony was the association’s founding chief, Chief Stephen Scurti, who was appointed Sergeant-at-Arms in recognition of his lasting legacy of leadership and service to law enforcement in Rockland County.

Officials praised the new leadership team and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation and shared commitment among police departments throughout the county.
