The Haverstraw Police Department bids farewell to Detective Adrian Maldonado as he announces his retirement after an illustrious career spanning over two decades.

Joining the force in 2002 as a patrolman, Detective Maldonado’s journey in law enforcement saw him rise through the ranks, culminating in his promotion to Detective in 2014. Throughout his tenure, he demonstrated unwavering commitment and professionalism, earning accolades for his exceptional service.

Notably, Detective Maldonado’s contributions extended beyond routine detective work. He played a pivotal role in the Selective Enforcement Unit and served as a Crisis Negotiator with the esteemed Rockland County Regional Rescue Entry and Counter Terrorism Team. Moreover, his expertise was sought after as an instructor at the Rockland County Police Academy, where he imparted invaluable knowledge to aspiring law enforcement professionals.

Beyond his law enforcement endeavors, Detective Maldonado’s dedication to public service is exemplary. For over thirty years, he served as a Paramedic, providing vital medical assistance to the North Rockland community through Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
