Haverstraw Police Arrest Staten Island Man for Pomona Burglary

The Haverstraw Police Department has announced the arrest of Jeffrey Reader, 33, of Staten Island, New York, in connection with a March 2024 burglary at a business in Pomona.

Reader was located and arrested yesterday in Staten Island by Haverstraw Police officers, who subsequently transported him back to Rockland County. He faces charges of Burglary in the 3rd Degree (a Class D Felony), Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree (a Class A Misdemeanor), and Petit Larceny (a Class A Misdemeanor).

Following his arraignment last evening, Reader was remanded to the custody of the Rockland County Correctional Facility. It is important to note that a criminal complaint is only an accusation, and Reader is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
