A Pomona man was arrested Tuesday after Haverstraw Police located a stolen vehicle and found him in possession of a large quantity of narcotics.
On Tuesday, August 11, Haverstraw Police were alerted by a license plate reader that a stolen vehicle had entered the Village of Haverstraw. Officers later located the vehicle in Pomona and took the occupant, identified as 49-year-old Diamond Dickerson of Pomona, into custody without incident.
During the investigation, police said Dickerson was found in possession of a large quantity of narcotics.
Dickerson was charged with multiple felony drug offenses, including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree with Intent to Sell, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree with Intent to Sell, as well as Criminal Possession of Stolen Property involving the vehicle.
He was transported to Haverstraw Police headquarters for processing before being arraigned in Village of West Haverstraw Justice Court and remanded to the Rockland County Correctional Facility.
The Haverstraw Police Department was assisted in the investigation by the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Rockland County Intelligence Center.
