Haverstraw Police Arrest Jersey City Man on Multiple Larceny Charges

The Haverstraw Police Department has announced the arrest of 20-year-old Michael Miranda Rico of Jersey City, New Jersey. Miranda Rico faces several charges, including grand larceny in the 4th degree (a Class E felony), criminal possession of stolen property in the 4th degree (also a Class E felony), and petit larceny (a Class A misdemeanor). These charges stem from an investigation into two separate incidents of larceny from vehicles parked in a shopping center lot in West Haverstraw.

Miranda Rico was arrested yesterday in Westchester County by Haverstraw Police and arraigned in the Village of Haverstraw Justice Court. He has been remanded to the Rockland County Correctional Facility with bail set at $5,000.

Authorities remind the public that a criminal complaint is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
