The Haverstraw Police Department has announced the arrest of 48-year-old Cory Cordero of Garnerville, NY, in connection with two commercial burglaries that occurred in Garnerville and Haverstraw.
According to police, the incidents involved the theft of money collection and change machines from laundry rooms at two separate residential complexes. Following an investigation, Cordero was located in Stony Point, NY, where he was taken into custody and transported to the Haverstraw Police Department for processing.
He was charged with multiple counts of burglary, grand larceny, and criminal mischief. After arraignment, Cordero was released on his own recognizance pending future court proceedings.
The Haverstraw Police Department expressed gratitude to the Stony Point Police Department, the Rockland County Intelligence Center, and the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the investigation.
Authorities emphasize that a criminal complaint is merely an accusation and that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
