Haverstraw Man Arrested on Firearm and Menacing Charges

A Haverstraw man has been arrested on multiple charges after police recovered a loaded firearm in connection with a reported menacing incident.

According to the Haverstraw Police Department, officers arrested Michael Green, 57, following an investigation that began on March 19, 2025. Authorities responded to a report of an altercation in the Village of Haverstraw, where they located the victim and began their investigation.

A search of the area led officers to Green, who was positively identified as the suspect. Investigators later obtained and reviewed surveillance footage, which led them to execute a search warrant at Green’s residence. During the search, officers recovered a loaded firearm.

As a result of the investigation, Green has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree (Class C Felony), Menacing in the 2nd Degree (Class A Misdemeanor), and Harassment (Violation).

Following his arraignment in the Village of Haverstraw Justice Court, Green was remanded to the Rockland County Correctional Facility.
