Haverstraw Hit with Seven Water Main Breaks; Flooding and Low Pressure Reported

Town officials say seven water main breaks occurred Wednesday in the unincorporated section of the Town of Haverstraw, prompting a major response from first responders and utility crews.

Thiells Fire Department and other emergency personnel assisted residents by helping pump out floodwaters from affected homes, while Veolia Water crews arrived on scene to assess damage and begin repairs.

As a result of the breaks, residents may experience low water pressure and temporary road closures in several areas. Those experiencing water-related issues are urged to contact Veolia Water directly at (877) 426-8969.

Crews are working swiftly to restore service and minimize disruption.
