In an disturbing display of unfettered hatred, a Jewish high school senior was assaulted while walking along North Main Street near Parkview Drive in Spring Valley, shortly after 10:00 a.m. this morning. The victim, a teenage girl, was confronted by an African-American male who reportedly spat in her face and hurled anti-Semitic slurs, calling her a “dirty Jew.”
Witnesses stated that, an onlooker encouraged the attacker.
Authorities from the Spring Valley Police Department are actively investigating the incident, with the assistance of Chaverim of Rockland.
The reprehensible act has also sparked concern amongst community members, with calls for heightened vigilance and the swift apprehension of the perpetrator.
