HATE AT THE PARK: Jewish Players Targeted in Vile Rant at Eugene Levy Memorial Park

What began as a peaceful night of recreational volleyball turned into a disturbing display of hate when a group of Jewish men playing at Eugene Levy Memorial Park in the Town of Ramapo were subjected to a vile antisemitic tirade.

The shocking incident — first posted on X by Nachi Gordon, Founder and CEO of the Meaningful Minute podcast — shows a man screaming obscenities and antisemitic slurs at the group. Among the hateful outbursts captured on video: “I converted to Islam,” “You [expletive] Jew,” “Dirty Jew,” and most horrifyingly, “I hope Palestine comes to murder you.”

Monsey Scoop is not sharing the footage of the incident due to the extremely foul and offensive language used throughout the recording.

The group of men, members of the Monsey Sports League, were stunned but chose not to engage. The man eventually drove off — but not before leaving behind a chilling reminder of the growing boldness of antisemitism in everyday settings.

“This wasn’t a protest or a political demonstration,” one of the players told Monsey Scoop. “We were simply playing a game — and were suddenly attacked with pure hate, out of nowhere.”

Sources confirm to Monsey Scoop that Ramapo Police were immediately notified, and detectives have since identified the suspect, who has been warned not to return to the park.

“This was a vile and cowardly act of antisemitic hate, and it will not be tolerated in the Town of Ramapo,” Supervisor Michael Specht told Monsey Scoop. “Our parks are meant to be safe spaces for all residents, and we are committed to taking every measure necessary to protect our community from this kind of bigotry. The Ramapo Police Department is actively investigating this incident and will pursue it to the fullest extent of the law.”

As antisemitism continues to surface in shocking and brazen ways, this incident serves as yet another reminder: hatred doesn’t always wear a mask — sometimes, it shows up at your local park during a volleyball game.

Monsey Scoop will continue to follow this developing story.

Why play volleyball in a public park, instead of privately somewhere? Are we trying to make a point that we have “equal” rights? Is this how a chosen People are supposed to act; to make a point that we have equal rights to publicly engage in conduct which, in actuality, is bittul Torah? No wonder why HaShem sent this individual to give us a potch.

    • Jewish teams and families have been using the park for decades. There are jewish baseball, soccer,
And volleyball leagues… I don’t understand your comment… it seems like “victim blaming”… or maybe you are interested in building us private facilities?

  2. “Monsey Scoop is not sharing the footage of the incident due to the extremely foul and offensive language used throughout the recording.” – Yet you give all the quotes of the extremely foul and offensive language used.

  3. And why can’t I find this video anywhere on the internet? I have tried every combo I can think of using Eugene Levy Memorial Park, Ramapo, Jews, racist, volleyball, Nachi Gordon, etc. Why don’t you post the link and let people decide for themselves if they want to view it?
And what about the man who allegedly did this? You have no problem identifying him as a man, but what about whether he was white or black or appeared to be something else? Sounds like something a white person would do, but we the readers are left to just assume?

  4. From your own “About us” page: “an undying devotion to journalistic integrity. That platform is Monsey Scoop.”

Really? Yet you just censored my two comments that were not profane or offensive in any way. I posed very legitimate questions and concerns. And you will censor this post, too, right? No problem. I have been taking screenshots and I’ll make sure others know that your “media outlet” is just another biased newsource that only seeks to provide confirmation bias to yourselves and others like you. Make no mistake – people who act like this are the villians in our society.
In 2025, if this is how you are running a “news” operation, then just shut down and get out of the way. You’re part of the problem, not the solution.
