Harmonious Hearts hosted a free Narcan training Tuesday evening at the Tallman Fire Department, providing community members with potentially lifesaving knowledge on how to respond to an opioid overdose.
During the training, participants learned how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and how to properly administer Narcan, also known as naloxone, which can rapidly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
Attendees received hands-on instruction, free Narcan kits, and certification upon completing the training.
The event was part of Harmonious Hearts’ ongoing efforts to raise awareness about opioid abuse and provide community members with the tools and education needed to respond effectively during an overdose emergency.
The training was held at the Tallman Fire Department on Route 59.
