Gubernatorial Candidate and Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, while visiting Rockland County today for an event in Pearl River, sent a personal Mazel Tov letter to the Skvere Rebbe after learning that the Rebbe is marrying off a granddaughter tonight in New Square.
The brief congratulatory letter, offering warm wishes on the simcha and acknowledging the Skvere community’s strong commitment to faith, family, and tradition, was delivered on Stefanik’s behalf by Congressman Mike Lawler’s Senior Advisor, Rafi Silberberg, during the wedding.
In one section of the letter, Stefanik wrote:
“As I have had the privilege of learning more about New Square, I have been deeply moved by the extraordinary dedication to faith, family, and tradition that defines the Skver community.”
She concluded with the following final paragraph:
“Please know that my heart is with you and your family on this special day. I look forward to meeting in person and supporting the wonderful New Square community in the years ahead.”
Stefanik expressed her best wishes to the young couple and conveyed her regards to the Rebbe and his family on this joyous occasion.

Dearest Elise,
You are a Treasure.
Thank you for your unwavering support for our Jewish Community in very trying and troubling times.
All the love.
