Ground Broken for New Madison Edge Development on North Main Street in Spring Valley

A major new chapter in the revitalization of Spring Valley’s North Main Street officially began on Wednesday as construction got underway on the Madison Edge development, a project expected to significantly reshape the corridor and mark a major shift in the landscape of Main Street in Spring Valley.

The project, known as Madison Edge, will bring 60 new apartments to 19-23 North Main Street, along with approximately 4,700 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The development is designed as a mixed-use complex featuring modern apartments above street-level commercial storefronts, creating new housing opportunities while adding retail space to the neighborhood.

According to project materials, Madison Edge is intended to serve young and growing families seeking modern housing close to established neighborhoods, shopping, and local shuls. The development’s location places residents within walking distance of many community amenities, making it a convenient addition to the rapidly expanding Spring Valley area.

Plans for the project include multiple five-story residential buildings connected by a central courtyard, on-site parking, elevators, and thoughtfully designed common areas. The ground level will feature commercial space facing North Main Street, with residential entrances and parking integrated into the overall design.

The groundbreaking marks the beginning of construction on what is expected to become one of the larger new mixed-use developments in the village. Once completed, Madison Edge will add dozens of new homes while further expanding Spring Valley’s residential and commercial landscape.
