Good Samaritan Hospital is expanding Shabbos visiting hours on its Mother-Baby Unit, giving families more time to visit mothers and newborns on Saturdays.
Beginning August 1, Shabbos visiting hours will be extended from 9:00 a.m. until midnight, providing additional time for families to welcome a new baby, celebrate together, and support new mothers during this special time.
The expanded hours were made possible through the collaborative efforts of Captain Abe Rosenberg of Hatzoloh EMS of Rockland County and Aron Reiner of Bikur Cholim, who worked with hospital leadership to help bring about the change for the benefit of local families.
Hospital officials said the expanded Saturday schedule reflects the hospital’s continued commitment to meeting the needs of the community and helping families enjoy more meaningful time together during the first days after a child’s birth.
