The Monsey community is reeling after the tragic passing of Reb Yisroel Meir Freeman Z”L, a remarkable yungerman whose life was cut short in a horrific accident on Sunday. While driving to Kollel—a path he traveled daily with dedication—a massive tree suddenly fell onto his vehicle, killing him instantly. The tragedy has shattered countless hearts and left the community in deep mourning.
Reb Yisroel Meir Z”L was known as a true ben Torah, a kollel yungerman whose sincerity, warmth, and quiet generosity uplifted everyone around him. His devotion to his family and to his learning was evident in every aspect of his life.
Now, a devastated young widow and her three precious orphans are facing an unimaginable future without their beloved husband and father. Their world has been turned upside down—emotionally, spiritually, and financially. The family has lost its pillar of strength, and the burden ahead is overwhelming.
As they struggle to rebuild amid immense pain, the community is urged to step forward and provide desperately needed support. Every donation—big or small—will help cover basic necessities, daily expenses, childcare, and the many costs that arise during such a heartbreaking time.
A verified fund has been established to assist the family:
