FROM NORTH ROCKLAND TO VERMONT: Youth Police Academy Graduate Becomes State Trooper

Chris Santic, a 2016 graduate of the North Rockland Youth Police Academy (NRYPA), has officially joined the ranks of the Vermont State Police.

Santic recently completed training at the Vermont State Police Academy, where he was also honored with a special award during the graduation ceremony. The NRYPA program — a collaborative initiative between the Stony Point and Haverstraw Police Departments — aims to inspire the next generation of law enforcement officers.

Officials expressed pride in Santic’s accomplishments and hope the program helped guide his path. The next Youth Police Academy begins this September. For more information, contact Detective Spatta at 845-354-8972 or rspatta@haverstrawpolice.org.
