FORSHAY: Multi-Vehicle Accident at South Parker Drive and Forshay Road Shuts Down Intersection; Multiple Injuries Reported

A multi-vehicle accident occurred at approximately 1:00PM On Sunday afternoon at the intersection of South Parker Drive and Forshay Road, prompting a significant emergency response. Multiple injuries have been reported.

Hatzoloh EMS, Spring Hill EMS, Rockland Paramedics, the Monsey Fire Department, and the Ramapo Police Department are currently on the scene, working to provide aid to those injured and manage the situation.

Six patients were transported to local hospitals: three were taken to Westchester Medical Center, including two transported by paramedics; three others were transported to Nyack Hospital. Additionally, one individual refused medical attention at the scene.

As a result of the incident, Forshay Road has been closed between Parker Blvd and Crabapple Court, and motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.

This intersection has been a frequent site of serious accidents in the past, as it is controlled by only two stop signs rather than a four-way stop or traffic light. Local residents have expressed ongoing concerns about the need for improved traffic control measures to enhance safety in the area.
