Former Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick Condemns Hateful Rhetoric Against Jews and Calls for Unity in Rockland County

Statement by Former State Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick in regards to the hateful comments made against Jews:

“The hateful and violent rhetoric expressed by an Imam at the Islamic Center of Rockland is deeply disturbing and must be unequivocally condemned. I commend the Islamic Center for taking the necessary step of publicly denouncing these dangerous incitements to violence. Every Jew in Rockland County deserves to feel safe in their community, and as your Senator, I will be committed to working with all communities and law enforcement to ensure that everyone can walk down our streets without fear. As we near the one-year anniversary of the October 7 attacks by Hamas, it is more important than ever for the Jewish and Muslim communities in Rockland County to stand together against terrorism and affirm the sanctity of life for all people.”
