Forest Hills Man Arrested By Haverstraw Police For West Haverstraw Larcenies

The Haverstraw Police Department has announced the arrest of Estiven Vidal Ospina, an 18-year-old from Forest Hills, New York, in connection with larcenies from vehicles at a shopping plaza in West Haverstraw. The incidents occurred in August 2024.

Ospina has been charged with grand larceny in the 4th degree, a class E felony, and petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor. The charges stem from two separate theft incidents. Authorities, with the assistance of the Westchester County Police Department, located and arrested the suspect yesterday in Westchester County, New York.

Following his arrest, Ospina was arraigned in the Town of Haverstraw Justice Court. He is currently being held at the Rockland County Correctional Facility and awaits extradition to New Jersey for an active warrant.
