The first wedding at the newly opened Satmar hall Ateres Genendel on South Madison Avenue in Spring Valley took place on Tuesday evening, marking a major milestone for the community’s long-planned simcha venue. The inaugural Chasuna featured singer Sruly Green and musician Yoni Fischer, who set the tone for a lively and uplifting celebration.
Ateres Genendel, built in a space that originally served as an auditorium, has been in development since last year, when Satmar leaders announced plans to create an affordable wedding option that would both ease the financial burden on families and generate sustainable income for the mosdos. The completion of the hall now provides a much-needed, community-focused venue designed to host simchas with comfort and dignity.
The launch of Ateres Genendel represents a significant step forward for local families, offering a new, cost-effective choice for weddings while supporting vital communal institutions.

Congratulations may God bless you and many more years of love, health and prosperity.
