FIREWORKS: Pro-Palestinian Group Planning Major Protest Against Rep. Lawler During Rockland Town Hall

Rockland County could soon be the scene of some unwanted political fireworks, as staunchly pro-Israel Rep. Mike Lawler scheduled a town hall meeting for this coming week – and pro-Palestinian protestors are preparing.

Lawler’s office announced that the periodically occurring town hall will be taking place at 6 pm on Sunday, November 19 at Rockland Community College.

In response, a group named Rockland For Palestine is planning to hold a protest outside the venue as Lawler arrives, and insinuated that they plan to have people inside to protest and/or harass him, as well.

“If folks don’t feel comfortable sitting in on the venue to directly speak with Lawler, we also have folks that will be standing outside to protest as Lawler enters the building!” the group wrote on Instagram.
