Firefighters Contain Early Morning Shed Fire in Sloatsburg

Early this morning at approximately 6:27 a.m., the Sloatsburg Fire Department responded to reports of smoke emanating from a building. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a large shed with heavy smoke conditions, prompting an upgrade to a structure fire.

The Hillburn Fire Department was called to provide mutual aid, while Spring Hill EMS stood by to ensure safety at the scene.

Firefighters quickly located the fire, which had ignited in a concealed void space beneath the floor of the shed. Crews worked diligently to extinguish the blaze and conducted extensive overhaul operations to prevent further flare-ups.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. After ensuring the scene was fully secure, all units were released and returned to service shortly after 9:00 a.m.
